Sophia Grace Brownlee, the 19-year-old influencer and former star of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, has welcomed her first child into the world. Brownlee shared the news on her Instagram account with a sweet first photo of her newborn’s hand cradling her finger.
Initially, Brownlee kept details about her son, including his name, under wraps, but she’s expected to share more updates soon. She previously announced her pregnancy and the baby’s sex with vlogs on her YouTube channel.
Brownlee rose to fame alongside her cousin Rosie for their appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show starting in 2011. Both Ellen and Rosie congratulated Sophia and her baby boy in the comments section of her Instagram post.
In an exclusive joint interview with E News on Access Hollywood, Sophia shared how she broke the news of her pregnancy to her cousin Rosie. She also expressed her excitement for Rosie to meet the baby, calling her the best cousin ever.
Sophia also shared how she thinks her boyfriend will be a great dad to their little one. She responded to anyone who might be critical of her becoming a young mom, saying that age doesn’t matter as much as the person’s readiness and happiness. She feels confident about this new chapter in her life and is grateful for the supportive comments from other girls who became moms at a young age.
“I feel really confident about it now,” she said. “Thank you.”
